Engagement sessions are being booked now for the spring. Many couples request to have an engagement session done so they can practice in front of the camera. The day of the wedding is not the best time to see how you pose together. An engagement session is fun and creative, we bounce ideas off each other and find some great ways to make you smile. As a photographer we can see from experience what makes you look great together. This will make the day of wedding pictures awesome.
Using these pictures for a guest sign in book is also a great idea. We can produce an album that you can keep at the place card table and the guests can see the images and sign the book with some great messages.
I encourage my couples to choose a location that is unique to them, maybe an activity they enjoy. Amusement parks, beaches, lighthouses or even a hiking trail would make a great location for your engagement shoot. Think about what makes you happy and it will show in the photos.
Clothing is another concern for the shoot. Bright colors with stripes are not a good idea. If it makes you feel great wearing it it will look great in the photos... except bright colored stripes.
